Archie doesn't take cheese for treats! What kind of dog is this!?

LOL!
Give it time. When Brooks was a baby I used his kibble for training treats. I would measure out his daily rations, and used some it when training. I didn't start using cheese or other real "treats" until he was about 4 months old.

You know the first day chicken worked great. The second day I used a differently seasoned chicken and he was like "eh." Today I tried cheese. It worked for like 3 time and then he decided chewing on a leaf was way more tasty. I'm just like WTH!? He's got a stubborn streak in him.

Remember taking Mardi to training. She was not a puppy (about 9 years old) but a lab. The first day she responded to the treats I had, then totally blew me off, did not want any more. Trainer suggested having a wide variety in the treat pouch. Worked like a charm.
Every lab I've had loved Cheerios, great training treat. Then Bandit came along and he totally did not want to have anything to do with them. Think he was born without the Cheerios gene.

That's interesting. I've heard that there are some dogs that are less responsive to food, but will go ape-sh1t for a squeeky toy. You just have to find what floats their boat. But maybe pup is a little young to have decided what his favorite thing in life will be.
Mocha here:
Archie, I'll take your cheese.
I was told (here, probably) that green beans were a great treat. Nope. Thor spits out all green veggies, *especially* green beans.
Be glad...it gives mine violent gas.
small cut pieces of carrot works great. also cold small baby carrot for teething help.
