Suisun City, CA Dog Friendly Lodging?

The boy and I are headed down I-5 in July for a long weekend field training seminar in Suisun City, California. Can anyone recommend dog friendly lodging in the area? AirBNB is really limited to room or house share situations versus full houses and most of the full houses are several hundred per night and located closer to Napa. Thanks!

I am about an hour away from Suisun City, let me know when you will be here and I may come watch. Or tell me what event it is and I may join you and bring Friday, maybe I can convince Daos to bring Khan too. I sometimes train out there with GGLRC, or go to a training area by myself, or we train out in the delta when we take the boat out.

That area can be sketchy, so as a woman traveling alone wth dogs, I look for *nicer* dog friendly hotels in safe areas. There is a nice Hampton Inn in Suisun City, and I punched in a random weekend in July, and it's about $150 a night, but no charges for pets, and they (usually) have a really nice breakfast included.

Thanks for the tip... That's the hotel I was looking at but they have a 40 lb weight limit on dogs. I know that they aren't always picky about that; it's not like my dog is a Mastiff, but he is about double that. I'd hate to show up with him and get turned away.

The event is a +R field training event sponsored by the NORCAL Golden Retriever Club. If you want to PM me your email I can send you the flyer/sign-up. The seminar coordinator is listed there and should be able to answer any questions for you.

I've had a lab in there in the past. It was later in summer/early fall when I was there and the place that looks nice for airing (on lead) is loaded with fox tail. So you may need to drive some place, feed and then air thoroughly before turning in. This particular hotel gets lots of retriever events. We never had a problem.

There is a world-beater Mexican restaurant just across the street if I remember correctly. And I don't rave about Mexican. But it is great.

There are both a LaQuinta and a Motel 6 up that way (Listed in Fairfield). The map said about $80-90 range. Both are SUPER dog friendly. Motel 6 is update with the laminate flooring (love for the dogs/mess) and there is an AKC discount code that saves you the tax (10%).

Oh cool, I have been to a breeding seminar with the NorCal Golden club, they are really nice people! I'll pm you.

The Motel 6 might be cheaper, but not in as nice of a neighborhood, again I like to be in a better hotel with a better clientele than a Motel 6 while traveling alone with dogs, but that's just me. :-)

The Hampton also has a AAA discount which should cover taxes too if you are a member, and other available discounts if not.

The coordinator for the event is recommending the Hampton Inn, says it is just ten minutes from the site. So, Hampton Inn it is! I'll check for your PM and send you the info.
