    Moving

So Daisy and I are moving to Savannah after I get married. My fiancé and I bought a house and he is already moving in! We will have our first real house and this will be Daisy's first house also! We will move in this July after the honeymoon. My fiancée has a cat and Daisy likes to chase them so this should be interesting.
Anyway, I was hoping some people in the area know some great parks and places to walk/hike with your dog in the area. Also, if you know of any great training venues in the area I would appreciate that as well!
I got involved with a great dog hiking group here in the Cinci area that I'm sad to leave so I'm hoping to find something similar in my new city.
    Thanks!

Thanks, I have looked on Meetup because that is how I found the group I love here in Cinci but didn't see anything unfortunately.

That's going to be a BIG change for you. Lived there about 12 years and having lived many years in New England, had a rough time getting used to the weather - hot and humid. It is a beautiful area and from what I've seen has improved greatly. They were behind Charleston in renovation of the old sites but caught up.

Sorry no help with parks, etc. Moved from there many, many years ago. Definitely a place for flea and tick and heartworm prevention year round.

    Re: the cat

I had Sunnie tested for "cat neutrality" before I committed to taking her. She apparently tested disinterested with the shelter's mascot/tough cat. We had two cats in the house and Sunnie was fine. I'm pretty sure that that was because, as with the shelter, the cat was already part of the house.

Fine with cats. Great. That didn't include any cats outside. Dan's best friend was our cat Charlie. And he is just like Sunnie with outdoor cats.

There's a good chance that, with the cat already established in the house, Daisy might learn fast that that particular cat is family.

Obviously, you'll do all the slow introduction, safe space for cat, etc.....but it may go better than you're anticipating.

Good luck with the move and the cat....congratulations on the marriage.
