    Fascinating isn't it? She will put the fuller larger puppies behind her under the pig rail, so they can't get to her while she feeds the others. They rotate larger litters like this too, I watched Katy do it with her litter of 12, and they grew so evenly. I think it is more instinctual for them to feed the loud noisy ones, or the one that cry because they are hungry. If they were weaklings, or not thriving in other ways, and something was seriously wrong with the puppy, she would push them out of the nest, and they would not survive. These guys are all robust, healthy and demanding, and she has tons of (chocolate LOL) milk, and is an excellent mom, plus I have started feeding them, and they are piggies :-)
