Patty, I'm terribly sorry to learn about Jazz. You do give so much to others, I hope we can offer you some love and support. My condolences.
(I hope I am posting this in the proper section) If not would a moderator please let me know.
Asking for help:
Some of you may know from FB that I lost my sweet Jazz suddenly this past week. My heart is broken...... and my vet bill is "huge". (I had to max out my CC to try and save her life - but God had other plans for my sweet girl)
One of my friends that has Jazz's brother graciously set up a gofundme page to help. (Thank you Laura).
... The link is at the bottom of my thread.
Jazz's mother, Miya, needed emergency surgery to save her life 11 years ago (which some of you may remember - ruptured gallbladder) and I have never gotten out from under those vet bills. Thankfully Miya is still with me at almost 14 years old and in great shape for her age.
I have never asked for help in this way. But I have donated to others and helped raise money over the years. Including asking members of this board to donate to friends of mine, which your graciously did.
I give from my heart and sole and time to help people I don't even know from all over the country with their dogs via phone and email from a blog I wrote in 2006 on recessed vulvas.(there have been hundreds over the past 11 years). And I continue to do this asking nothing in return but updates on how their babies are doing.
If there is any way that you can find it in your hearts to make a donation to Jazz's fund to help me pay her vet bill I will be forever greatful. No amount is too small. It all adds up.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart and please hug your sweet fur babies every day because you just never know...................

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

Aww, Patty, I'm so sorry to hear about your sweet Jazzy. Godspeed, sweet girl. We have also felt the burden of vet bills in that range with Lucy's eye when she was a pup, and it took us years to recover. Sending you hugs for your pain and I know this is really hard, try not to worry.

I so miss my sweet girl. All my girls are sweet, but there was just something special about Jazz. She so loved her therapy work at mom's nursing home. She would get bored and stand up and start talking to me out loud with low growls and then barks - and I would say "do you want to go visiting". She would get all excited and my mom just loved it. So the leashes would go on the girls and I would leave their grandma and go make our rounds to the patients. The patients and staff all miss her so much. I continue to go every day as hard as it is for me emotionally when people question why I only have 2 dogs with me......... But I need to keep up my girls daily routine for their sake. and I need to keep busy when I am not with clients.
I truly know I will see her again some day. She is up above now with all those that went before her, my father who she loved, and 4 of her babies that were lost at birth. She is taking care of them now. She was such a great momma. After about 3 weeks of birth I would move from the kitchen couch and back to my bedroom with her and a baby monitor. When she heard her babies wake up at night she would jump off my bed and go down to nurse them and then come back to bed with me........
