    Easter bunny Adventure Box Fun!

    I hope this video loads!

It is super cute, the puppies are getting their weekly challenge activity, this week is the adventure box. The developmental stage of awareness of their environment, exploring with their mouth, and looking up and around, and tracking with their eyes.

Very cute! I never thought about encouraging them to look up and around but when we got Lark, she would look up to watch birds or airplanes and find things above her that we don't remember Chase ever doing. He was unfazed by anything that might startle him or surprise him but he must have been absent the week they did the looking up and around lessons!

They are like little sponges at this age, Sue, it is amazing how much their can learn! I have been using a program called Puppy Culture, along with the Early Neurological Stimulation exercises, and Pat Hastings Rules of Sevens, plus just lot of love and play and cuddling them.

The Rule of Sevens if anyone is interested, I do this with each puppy before the age of 7 weeks, along with the other things I do with them, just to cover my bases. they also get multiple car rides before they go home at 8 weeks old, etc...

Been on 7 different surfaces, such as:
    • carpet
    • concrete
    • wood
    • vinyl
    • grass
    • dirt
    • gravel
    • wood chips
    • newspaper
    • etc.

Played with 7 different types of objects, such as:
    • big balls
    • small balls
    • soft fabric toys
    • fuzzy balls
    • squeaky toys
    • metal items
    • wooden items
    • paper/cardboard items
    • milk/soda jugs
    • etc.

Been in 7 different locations, including:
    • front yard
    • backyard
    • basement
    • kitchen
    • car
    • garage
    • laundry room
    • bathroom
    • crate
    • kennel
    • etc.

Been exposed to 7 challenges, such as:
    • climbed a box
    • climbed off a box
    • gone through a tunnel
    • climbed up steps
    • climbed down steps
    • climbed over obstacles
    • played hide and seek
    • gone in and out of a doorway with a step
    • etc.

    Eaten from 7 different containers:
    • metal
    • plastic
    • cardboard
    • paper
    • china
    • pie plate
    • frying pan
    • etc.

    Eaten in 7 different locations:
    • crate
    • yard
    • kitchen
    • basement
    • laundry room
    • bedroom
    • x-pen
    • etc.

Met and played with 7 new people, including:
    • children
    • the elderly

What a great idea! We are noticing with Chutes that his vertical awareness isn't great. Lol. We are trying to work on that...

These puppies are just 4 weeks old, I do a lot with them to stimulate their love of learning, and spacial awareness, desensitization etc... :-)

This is my favorite age. Not only are they at the apex of cuteness, but I love seeing their brains just soak in all the new experiences. It is a lot of work to socialize and enrich puppies properly before they go home to their people! It makes a huge difference though! All the hard work before 8 weeks pays off, and helps build confident, adaptable, curious-to-learn puppies! Hats off to you! I especially appreciate the efforts since I live with one of your puppies! LOL!
