Team REV - Hard At Work

    Aye Mates,
Hat's Off to Team REV on their first qualifying score achieved at last weekend's Yankee Waterfowler's Hunting Retriever Club 2017 HRC Licensed Hunt Test in the Seasoned Retriever stakes. A young retriever still under age three, REV is high octane on both land and water, bird drive is his middle name. T'is always fun to watch REV sent on retrieve. T'is often more fun to watch the reactions of folks watching REV flying across a field or pond whilst on retrieve, true poetry in motion.

Both owner / handler Rick and REV have been working diligently and it has been clearly defined as so whence watching their progress. We are currently campaigning REV ambitiously toward his AKC Senior Hunter Title and HRC Hunting Retriever Title. REV aside, Rick is no slouch and has been a wonderful asset as a relatively new member of YWHRC. Rick could be found running about the test grounds from venue to venue in making certain all was running smoothly and that the gunning stations were properly staffed and supplied. Given all he accomplished, t'is hard to believe he had time to handle REV betwixt his many self imposed duties. Rick also was joined by his wife Mary and son Nick as dedicated volunteers at the hunt test, the proverbial "all in the hunt test family". Having sponsored Rick and his family for membership in the YWHRC, I am proud of the truly wondrous work ethic and dedication they have exhibited in their voluntary efforts for the good o' the club.

So betwixt all o' his many duties, Rick managed to handle "fire breathing" REV to his first qualification in the Seasoned Retriever Stakes. Congratulations to TEAM REV, ye made the old Dog Whistler proud with not so much the qualifying ribbon gained, but with the class and dedication ye applied to getting there.

    Cheers,
    The Dog Whistler

Nice job Rick, REV and family. REV looks intense even when modeling his ribbon. (With you behind the camera I'm sure he's waiting for the next command [emoji41])

    Jack,
Not far from true. We are running again in New Hampshire in two weeks.
