No surgery for Sunny: Celebrating in tall grass & buttercups

With great anticipation we went to the surgeon for Sunny's Osteochondritis Dissecans. He said the arthroscopic surgery for this is not that successful so we are opting for more conservative care. The bone fragment is only very tiny, size of a 1/2 grain of rice. Knowing if it gets much worse over the years there is another surgery but this is only if it gets really bad. It is much more complex & sounds brutal to me.
Anyway: We are happy with this, so we went for a walk in tall grass & buttercups to celebrate plus a little bit of ice cream.

Great, Great Veterinary surgeon if you need one in our area. His name is Dr. Crawford. The place is called Boundary Bay & it is in Langley BC.

Happy to hear no surgery, hoping it stays that way. Sunny is loving the grass!

Why stop and smell the flowers when you can lick them? Good news!

Yay. I know how you feel, Oban stopped his mystery limp just before our scheduled appt. at U. of G. It was a relief to not have to put him through that, I bet you are feeling much the same way. Buttercups aren't out yet, here.

That's a great photo of Sunny! Glad you can do conservative care over the surgery. Sounds like a good specialty vet.
