Very scary situation. Very happy he's doing ok.
Poor Oban - that is very scary. I'm glad he recovered and is doing better. Niner is another one who doesn't handle heat well. We haven't had issues, but he drags behind at the end of a walk. Give Oban a big hug from us.

Oban is fine, I'm a little sore in my right shoulder. Oban is easy to carry because he doesn't mind it. I think he might even like it. I think when I scoop a cat up for a cuddle he would like it if I would scoop him too. Yesterday our walk wasn't all that short but I took him to a place with a cool, clean stream and let him play in that. We were there early and all alone. It's popular with mountain bikers and I expected cars to be there early but there was no one at all. Maybe they just called it off entirely

That is very scary, so happy you were able to lift and carry him out of there and you both got home safely to cool off. So happy Oban is feeling better and hope your shoulder is feeling better soon too.
Neither Ginger or Sarah can handle the heat -

VERY, VERY scary. What IF BOTH of you had a problem? Even though it is hot that you have not acclimated to yet, take into account the humidity-hard to cool off and to breathe. Be VERY careful.
Glad you both are better. You MUST be in pretty good condition to be able to carry Oban that far, but I think adrenaline comes into play sometimes in a situation like this.
This is a lesson for all of us as the weather will only get hotter and SOME (me)of us are getting older and it will be harder to take care of an emergency.
yikes! and wow, you carried Oban?!?! having met both of you, congrats!!!!! (note- Nancy is a fit strong woman, but not large by any stretch!) I was just telling Squirt (aka Trouble, Leave It, No, Hey!, What-Have-You-Got....Trigger) on Saturday that i wasn't sure how much longer i was going to be able to carry him -he too enjoys it, but he's up to 48.7lbs...
I;m sure glad Oban recovered so quickly, and yesterday and today were much much hotter...
