Off to dog scout camp, in style.

So it is that awesome fun time of year again where Hemi and I travel up north for a week of Labrador fun. A week it is all about the dogs. DOG SCOUT CAMP TIME!!!!

So if you don't hear from us for a while we will be having a blast and then recovering. So many things on the agenda this year. Treibal, the 100 weave pole challenge, Phodography, Doga, just to name a few. So much more as we always have a good time.

Anyway we are going in style this year. Dad got Hemi a new truck this year. I am just the chauffeur. We have been on a couple adventures in it already, I had to get 1000 mile break in period before we tow. I hit 940 miles last night. We took a drive last weekend to the Warren Sand dunes and went out on the dunes then watched the sunset over lake Michigan. Hemi wanted out to go swimming but he is not allowed on that beach.

Here is my new truck the day I picked it up from the dealer. You can see the old one in the background.

The one and only photo of it dog hair free. Never again will it be that pristine on the inside.

Hemi giving it a good inspection inside and out. You can tell I am a dog person after getting a new truck I spend the next 3 hours in 90 degree heat getting it ready for my Labrador to ride.

I get to drive this one don't I dad?

All new Hemi Back seat set up. Went with tougher better gear this time. Orvis has really nice back seat hammock big enough to fully cover a large truck back seat. Then the gray thing is a cushion that fills the gap so he doesn't fall in. I only got it on the one side over the years he only ever sticks to the passenger side.

All new seat belts, crash rated metal buckles. I have always been a fan of Kurgo for seat belts.

Getting the evil eye the first time going for a ride. Oh yeah I got this evil eye look for quite a while. Many of you have seen the picks of how Hemi rides before. He loves to lay down on the center console there so he is next to his dad. Well after years of doing this, the old truck the center console was in rough shape. Sure it can be fixed and cleaned but going to try to keep it clean and and good shape. Hemi doesn't like this much. Quite often while driving he will sit like he is in the picture then rest his head on the net there and sigh. Then if I do not respond the sigh gets louder until I pet him.

Finally just some eye candy. The sunset over lake Michigan from out on the Warren Dunes.

Oh yeah and this arrived yesterday, just a little finishing touch to the new truck everyone needs a good license plate frame.

He's a lucky dog! Check out the crash test videos on the harness you use. Eek! Sleepypod harness is the only one that passed the crash test. It's scary.

Those were the old Models, this is the new Kurgo one that addressed the issue brought up by the crash testing. Hence the All NEW seat belts.

wow, Dog Scout time again already?!?!? I get that evil-eye look from Scout now that he has to share the backseat with Trigger;s crate.
And hey, Hemi got an rv upgrade last year, didn't he? he's going to be the envy of all the other dogs at camp this year for sure!!!!
