My sister-in-law's brother had a dog that died from eating a couple grapes or raisins, but it was a small lap dog. Ever since that happened, I was always overly cautious with having grapes at the house with the two small parrots that I have since they both love grapes. I always have to be careful that they don't try to feed Sierra by tossing it out of their cage.

I am glad to hear your pup is doing okay!

I did know about it, but I was too scared to give it to her. How much would I have given her? she is 60 lbs. I think they said 1 Tbsp. per 10 lbs body weight.

THIS^^^^^^^^^^ works great, takes 10-15 minutes and everything comes out. I use a turkey baster, fill it about 1/3 full and squirt down Gabe's throat. Then outside for a quick walk and puke!!

    I give via a 10cc glass syringe and usually start w/ 20cc. Generally 30cc (2 T) works for mine if it's a fresh bottle.

Looking it up online, it is one TEASPOON per 10#, so yes.... 20cc for a 60# dog.

I have a major sugar ant problem this year. In fact, they infested my modem and it took hours for me to get them out and kill them. I've been fighting them for months with Terro bait (pet-safe) inside and outside and yet, they are still all over. So, I finally got some ant bait that I hear works really well.

Sunday night I sprinkled the new ant bait in front of my house, where the dogs do not go. On Monday, I got home from work and was unloading the car. I left the door partway open. Well, the dogs are trained not to leave the threshold and I turn around to come inside and Linus is literally SCARFING the mulch. His body is inside the house, front feet on the stoop, his head stretched down a couple feet. It took him literally seconds to realize that there was food on the mulch. And by food, I mean sprinkled corn grits with sugar (that is the vehicle for the bait). How he knew it was here within seconds is just fascinating to me.

So, I looked online, made the calls and then just decided to get it out. Who knows how much he ate (probably 1/4 of a teaspoon) and thought it was better to be safe than sorry. All I did was put some hydrogen peroxide in a bowl with some goats milk and a small beaten raw egg and he drank it up and then we went outside (backyard; no ants) where I did some yard work and kept an eye on him. He barfed it all up within ten minutes and I used the hose to spray it away. Fed him dinner an hour later. He's fine.

I am also surprised that a Vet would pump a dog's stomach for only 8 raisins...I think Toby has consumed more in his lifetime.

But..I'm glad your dog is okay.

I suspect they didn't know how many raisins there were until they came back up. I'm glad all is well. Mine will drink up peroxide also if it's in some milk. That's much easier to me than trying to get it into their mouth if they are resistant.

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”
