    My Aunts dog

    My aunt lost her Maltese who was just 5 a few days ago. He was very lethargic and barley eating. They took him to the vet and all his blood work was crazy. The vet gave him fluids and sent them home with some wet food and told them to bring him back if he did not eat the next day. They did return and after a number of tests and an x ray they learned that Ziggy had consumed metal of some sort. Sadly he was too far gone to save him. I am sorry for their loss. I posted this here to remind all of us how precious our time is with our fur kids.

    I know they are beyond heartbroken by the sudden loss of the baby.

    I think that it's hitting me hard because 3 years ago I lost my 18 year old rescue Matese.
