OUT! What do You Think That Fence is For? OUT!

Each day after Oban's walk I circle the back yard, looking at new flower blooms, checking the tomatoes, etc. On my circle back there's Oban, calmly making his own check of the tomatoes, INSIDE the garden fence, bold as brass.

HEY! OUT, you. How'd you get in there?

    Who? Me?

    OUT!

Walks back a bit and stops to see if I mean it.

    I mean it. OUT! NOW!

Walks a bit more, stops again. Really?

    OUT! And I point.

He hops the fence where it's low, runs around to me like he's done something great. Well, it was good of him not to make me chase him and he did jump the fence out so he got big hugs and kisses.

Sheesh. Right in full view of me, smiling like he's helping me by finding his own veggies to pick. Sheesh, Whisper at least had the decency to sneak in, only once, when she thought I wasn't looking. Jet never went in. I didn't even need a fence for either of them. Oban did jump in when I wasn't looking but then when caught had the brass to look like he had not done one little thing wrong. Dirty, rotten, stinkin' dog.

I made the mistake of sharing fresh picked cherry tomatoes with Thor yesterday. Guess who I found licking at the tomato plant today? Stinker.

Oban, you have me laughing! I know, you were just checking there were no sneaky spiders or other scary things that might startle Mom. Keep up the good work.

Oh, Oban! Kimber has his shameless gene. When caught, she'd just smile and wag, all, "I'm so happy to see you, isn't this great?" No matter what "it" was.

Oh you've got trouble now. Cassie loves cherry tomatoes. She takes a morning stroll towards the garden, looks back at the house to see if I'm watching and then snaps tomatoes within her reach. She knows to pick only the red ones. My poor plants are bare from about 2 feet down. If I come out and yell at her, she simply walks behind the garden and pokes her head around a holly tree to see if I'm still watching.

The fence is just to make it more fun to hop into the garden

This post made me think about Bruce, who had developed quite the taste for fresh tomato's. These pics were taken in May 2015 when he was just over a year old.

"I know there were tomato's in here before"

    "What? There's none here yet?"

    "Ok, I'll check back later!"

    I really loved that dog.

I have a lot of my plants in protective custody because Molly pulls the babies before they even have a chance to grow. But yeah I learnt the 4 foot fence is not that much of a problem for her.
