Wow! My neighbor's yorkie's "good" weight was 4 1/2 or 5 lb, I think 4 1/2. She was a tiny girl. Two lb 4 ounces sounds frighteningly low for any breed.
I'm on a FB about Lymphangiectasia in Dogs. Someone is trying to treat and keep alive a dog that weighs 2 lbs, 4oz. It doesn't say if this is current weight but dogs can loose a horrendous amount of weight with this disease. OMG, poor people, poor dog. Maybe it's a typo. Maybe it's supposed to be 12 or 20. Still, a pretty small dog. If one of my cats got that low in weight ......

Our neighbors have a 3 pound yorkie. It always growls at Bubba, he's terrified of it and it is hilarious.
My aunt has a 2.5 lbs yorkie. I'm always afraid I'm going to step on him or hurt him when I pick him up.

So tiny, losing even an ounce is a big deal when they're that tiny. Our doxie is 9 lbs and I thought she was small.
I couldn't do it. I just think about how much Archie gets under my feet and how many times I accidentally step on his feet. He's in mid 30's lbs right now. I think 20ish lbs is as low as I'd go.
