Yeah, as much as I would like a second dog right now, senior dog expenses are way to high. Also, I'd be constantly worried that the puppy could unintentionally hurt the older dog, since he has back issues. No time either for so many walks per day!
Is when they post an available puppy :P And from a breeder i had just chatted with a bit too!
Sadly as cute as the little bundle of chocolate love is, can't afford it right now!

EXACTLY! Rocky is running up some crazy monthly bills. Which, thankfully, I can handle right now. But NOT with a second dog. And even if I wanted to "wing it" money wise, I would feel terribly guilty for leaving Rocky alone more than he already is (for work). The puppy would need more outings, more walks, training classes. All which would take me away from Rocky. I'm set to just enjoy this time with Rocky.
And true, my dad dog sat a puppy while our family dog was 14 or so and just the puppy moving around the older dog (not jumping on him) would cause him to fall they had to be kept separate mostly (which was fine for a few days).

Once you have had a wonderful dog, a life without one, is a life diminished.
