Not sure how many of you have your little guys donate blood, or how many of you have actually thought about it, but it's something you should consider.
This is Tucker's 3rd donation, and we plan to have him donate about 3-4 times a year.
His previous donations have helped save dogs with autoimmune diseases.
Just think, if your dog need blood and there wasn't any!

I honestly didn't know a dog could donate blood!
Thanks for sharing this.
Love the picture!
That's such a beautiful act! Thank you.
Of course they can. But it's usually a friend's or acquaintance's dog that donates blood here, if a dog needs it. I don't think they have blood banks for dogs here.I honestly didn't know a dog could donate blood!

I never even considered this. I will check with our Vet on where we can do locally
Both of the veterinary hospitals I use have a blood donor dog on the premises, it is usually one of the partner's dogs, or a vet tech's dog.
I wanted to donate my dogs' blood occasionally, but because my dogs are breeding dogs they won't take blood from my dogs. Good for you for donating, you could save a life!
It would be a great project for akc or another national group to create regional blood banks. I also never thought about dog donors but it, of course, makes complete since.

Good job Tucker!
My cat needed a couple transfusions due to health issues last year so she especially thanks you for helping dogs in need.
