Isn't that just as much to keep them from freezer burn?
Tonight my wife asks me if the dead birds in the garage freezer are wrapped in anything besides the thin plastic bags it appears they are in. I tell her no, they are frozen solid and it's not an issue.
Well, evidently it is an issue to her, she used words such as gross and disgusting to describe them. I tell her it's basically like chickens, but they still have feathers and wings and heads, etc. This did nothing to help my case.
Said birds will be quadruple wrapped tomorrow.

Maybe wrap them in aluminum foil before putting them in the bags to 'disguise them'.
I wrap mine in newspaper LOL

Just make it so that she doesn't have to touch it.
Hah, after years of HIM being the one to fill up our freezer after his hunting trips out west my OH was happy to see the end of the training birds in our freezer. All thoroughly and multiply wrapped. At least your wife didn't put her own birds in and then complain about yours.

Heck, mine are sometimes just tossed in. Of course that freezer is only for birds. And rattlesnakes... whatever.... TG I caught it early enough when the freezer went out a few weeks ago! ewww.

I took the one partridge out and we works on "FETCH/HOLD" with it. That one was small enough to put in a freezer bag and back in to the freezer when we were done. The three pheasants were mummified in with cling wrap, for use at a future time.
Mind you these are in the "beer" fridge out in the garage, so not too much real food in there. So the chances of DW actually encountering one of these dead birds is between slim and none!
I seem to be the one to store all the birds. Right now I have 3 bird freezers plus our food freezer. It is a case of yours, mine and ours. Keeping what birds belong to what club can be a chore at times.
