So I am busy getting ready for winter. It won't be long now. Well I had a few things I needed to get done this weekend. Oil change, wash the truck and put another coat of paint sealant on it and clean out the garage. Part of cleaning out the garage is I needed a new toolbox an Harbor freight had some nice ones on sale.
So Saturday, I get up early, we both head to the dealer to get an oil change. Full synthetic, I don't have to replace it until summer or 10,000 miles whichever comes first. There are some nice hiking trails near the dealer so we go for a hike while the truck is being done, thinking surely that will wear out a Hemi and he will leave me be all day to get my work done.
So washing the truck was play time with the hose. He was running around all over soaking wet pretty much all day. Dirty from laying down in the yard in the leaves all soaking wet. So I am cleaning the interior, and I have my truck wide open with both doors. I am just about done after cleaning the windows, all the interior just finishing up the vacuuming and someone decides to jump in the other side run across the floor and shake of all the water and hair inside the freshly cleaned truck.
He is very pleased with himself as I am threatening to suck him up inside the shop vac.
The next day as I am cleaning out the garage. I decided to stop and put the toolbox together. As I got the bottom done on the rollers, again a certain someone decided it would be a great place to play. He kept trying to tell me it was mandatory lab testing.
Of course I tried explaining to him that lab testing wasn't needed. While I was talking to him about this he decided to lay down in protest. Then he suggested since the toolbox had wheels I push him around the neighborhood.
Finally after a long weekend of work, we both go to rest our weary bones out on the deck and grilled a steak for each of us. However we both took a nap first.

Hemi makes a good helper and a great companion while you're working!
I get the same assistance from Buddy around the property and heaven help me if there's not a Chuck-it somewhere nearby.
Enjoyed your post, Ron

He looks so satisfied with his expertise. How would you ever have gotten so much done...so efficiently...without him?

He's such a great sidekick.

The best helpers are the ones who make the work fun, not get the work done.

Such a good trusted sidekick! Love the last photo - he just needs a cold beer at his paw to sum up his exhausting weekend

I am so relieved Hemi Lab tested that cart!! Wouldn't want to see anything happened due to an untested piece of equipment!!!

Good boy, Hemi.

Hemi, you are the ultimate helper. I know why you jumped in the car, it needed an inside rinse too. Dad forgot that part. And, any guy knows that every step of a good tool chest needs to be thoroughly tested as it's being built. Work is hard, Hemi, but you did it, ah with a little help from Dad.
