    New Lab Cab

I've been driving a 2015 RAV for a little over 2 years. I had a 2 kennel set up for the dogs, but it was TIGHT. I realized just how small this car was when Brooks and I went to Connecticut to train with IRISHWHISTLER last month. Even with taking Sophie's kennel out for the trip, the car was LOADED. Since the trip I've been contemplating something a bit bigger.

I had my wife's Prius into the dealer for service last week, and ran into the showroom and talked my sales person, who was also my boss when I was a sales manager at this dealership (long story on his demotion from GM to salesman). I told him I wanted something bigger. He said he'd just taken in a 2015 Highlander AWD Limited on trade with 35K miles on it. The Highlander looked brand new, owned by a local who trades when his cars are almost out of warranty.

So long story short, he sold me the Highlander for $500 over his cost after certifying it with Toyota, and gave me about $3k more than my RAV4 was really worth, the Highlander is now parked in my driveway. Burgundy red with Yellow Labrador leather interior!

    Dog Tested, dog approved!

I'm going to look at the vario kennels for it. But until them, I'll get it all set up tomorrow!

As long as it is dog approved, sounds like a great deal! We all know they make the final decision.

That's awesome, I'm jealous! I have a feeling my kia sportage is going to feel small in about a year or so...

Awesome! I had a Highlander for years before I upgraded to a van for the dogs.

When I first got mine, I put a bug screen on the front, and this liner in the back. The liner really protected the carpeting underneath the liner, my crates fit nicely over the top, and it protects from spills :-) I have the same thing (only much bigger) in my van.
    Congrats!

Made to laugh, only a true dog lover goes in for a service call and ends up buying another vehicle big enough for the dogs with room to spare. Totally with you on that one.

Looks great and so do the models.

I'd say a roadtrip to the LRC nationals is in order... It's probably as close as it'll ever be to you!

Very nice and they have tons of room. I loved my highlander, best vehicle I have ever owned. Somehow a sales guy convinced me to trade in for the new 4 runner, which i love as well but its definately not a highlander.
