    The Cycle Of Life

Had to go out shopping today and the store I went to has a particularly large dog section, beautiful things. Couldn't help myself, had to look. It was painful until I turned a corner and there was a handsome golden in a lovely round, bolstered bed, husband and wife discussing the merits. Of course I had to greet. Max is a 2 year old owner surrender who had been living outside and the couple had just picked him up from a rescue, stopped by to get some necessities. Well, Max was not going to give up his precious bed. He was overwhelmed by everything, a little closed in. With some gentle coaxing they finally got him off the bed and new Mom went to pay for all the goodies, Max laying down on the cool floor. Well, Dad laid down on the floor right beside him. I believe Max has hit the jackpot. Upon leaving, new Mom was placing everything in the car and new Dad was taking Max for a short walk. It was so beautiful.

As painful as the day has been, Max made me realize how precious it can be for one who has not had proper care to get the best home. I wish them all well and a long life together.

Fran no dog is replaceable, they each own a special place in our hearts. I can tell you from experience, for me the best thing to heal that hole left in my heart when I lose one, is the next ones arrival to help fill that hole. There is no doubt in my mind that your next pup is out there waiting for you. And I can tell you THAT dog will also hit the jackpot!

One last thing. I know Archie will have a big smile on his face knowing another dog will get the love that he got. I know it.
