Aww I am new on here and don’t know you but feel for you. I lost my last lab Libby just over a year ago . Like you I hate not having a dog . I now have a 13 weeks old and she is keeping me busy! Grief is the price we pay for having so much love given. Our hearts have endless amounts of love so I hope you find a pup soon to give some to ❤️

My heart hurts for you on the loss of Archie. Blessings to you, and the potential journey with another fuzz face.

It's not to early Fran. It's a great tribute to Archie that you want another. Hope you find, that special one, although he/she will be the lucky one to have found you and your husband. Good luck.

Only you know if it is too soon. I know for me, that I would not want to go more than a day, heck a few hours, without a dog in my life. Many say healing a broken heart after you lose a dog is a puppy, or another dog. They are never a replacement, our heart's capacity for love grows bigger with each dog we love...

Please let me know if you need a referral, I know a few breeders in Illinois and surrounding states

When I saw you say "I don't know if I can do this again " I was hoping you would both feel the need for another lucky "mature" dog....so Yay to hear your DH verbalize it.

It's so exciting to think that there's a dog out there that doesn't know it yet but they're about to win the biggest jackpot ever.
