Can I just say that I love all the members on this board!

When Daisy started having problems, years ago, I got so much support, so much help and good advice. The people on here are such a wonderful group of people and even though I'm not on as much as I would like to be anymore, all of you and your furbabies are in my thoughts often. I just wanted everyone know how much you are appreciated, and thank you Woody for this wonderful board.

Things are going well with us, but we're all a little older and a little grayer. My oldest grandchild started college this year and the youngest one started Junior High (where has the time gone!) Miia is all healed up from her operation and as lively as ever, thank goodness. She turned 10 years old on October 13th. Honey is well, but never has gotten over a lot of her anxiety issues, she turned 9 years old in the springtime ( I don't know her birthday, because she was a stray when she was picked up). And our baby, Paige, will be 9 years old in December, but she still acts like a puppy. Life is busy, and life is good.

Love seeing you back, and keep it up. Glad the daily events of life and running smoother for you, Barney and the furkids. What's up with a grand starting college and the others growing so fast! It's unbelievable. Vividly remember when Paige joined your family and she's 9 already! Dang, I'm getting old.

How are things going on the rebuild of the apartment?

So good to hear from you, Nancy! I will always remember your kind words, good advice, and unwavering support during Kimber's spinal rehab.

I've missed you too! So nice to see you back! I'm not on here as much as I used to be, either, but now that Molly is 13 & having more health issues I find myself "visiting" on here more again now......For awhile, we all just enjoyed being "middle aged" at my house, but sadly that passed all too quickly. We lost our little Pug, Rugby, about 3 years ago at age 13. We missed having a Pug, so we drove a long way to pick up a little 4 yr old female that a breeder was retiring from her breeding program. Heidi is almost 6 already, & she & Molly are best of friends.

I'd like to thank Woody, too, for providing this wonderful forum full of such caring, supportive people!

Ahhhh, the apartment. It's been a year and 3 months of rebuilding, but we're finally closing in on the finale. Right now we're going through the process of final inspections from the town, 2 down, 1 to go. After that the final state inspection, after that the certificate of occupancy, after that we will get the rest of the insurance money from the bank and finish paying all of the contractors. Then we can start renting it out again. It'll be nice, for a change, to have money coming in, instead of going out all the time. When it's done, I'll let Barney have a rest and then hand him the list of all the things in our own home that need to be fixed or replaced! It's has been a long process, but the apartments look great and we updated much that we didn't have to. The smallest apartment downstairs is completely done over. I never like the layout of it. It was dark in the middle of the apartment (one side has no windows, because it's next to the garage) and since all the walls had to come down, I asked Barney if we could change it. I took a pad of paper, a pencil and a measuring tape over one day, and thought about what we could do to make it a more pleasant environment, came home and drew out some plans for the contractors to follow. The result is beautiful and the layout is much more practical. We're both happy with it, but it's been a long, long project and sometimes very frustrating, we will be very happy when it's all done.

    Good to see you, Nancy.

Time really has flown...so obvious when we consider the ages of our dogs now. (and I hate to look in the mirror)
