I was going to vacation in CO or MT with the boys next year, somewhere on a lake or something, with hiking nearby. Ideally the cabin would be in a place where leashes are not required (no neighbors, no roads, etc.). However, I just sent in my registration for an obedience seminar in Abbotsford, BC in early August and am thinking that I will just vacation before or after the three-day seminar in that area. I was thinking about that area anyway in addition to the others. Any suggestions as far as what area I should look into?
Well, if you're willing to do a bit of traveling (about 2.5 hours), Whistler is one of the most dog-friendly places I've ever been. I'm not sure if you'd be able to find a cabin rental, but almost all the hotels are dog friendly, there's an incredible dog park, lots of hiking, and it's just one of the most beautiful places. My brother lives there and I go fairly often.
Good luck!
