I'm so sorry to read this. I can't tell you what's right for Cilek and you but I try to consider how much suffering I would be putting them through and let my heart tell me what's right, even when it's hard. I'd talk to her and tell her how much you love her. She loves you and counts on you to make these decisions for her, as you have since you got her. We're all with you in spirit.

No advice other than what’s been given, but wanted to offer some sympathy that you have been placed in this position. Sending comforting thoughts your way.

I'm so, so sorry. If she's in pain or distress, it may be time.

I'm so sorry. I can only share my stories. With Montana when it became impossible to control his pain any longer I said good bye. With Dakota, same. Both my dogs meant the world to me and I had to say enough was enough. They were not going to get better because I was not going to put them through chemo or surgery (again).
Hugs and prayers for comfort and peace.

So very sorry this is happening. Having just been in a similar situation with Archie, and he was only 9, the options of surgery and chemo do not sound good. Quality of life is what you strive for.

    Sending prayers.

Hi Oya, I'm just seeing this now......I have to agree with everyone else here......You have given Cilek such a wonderful, long life! She couldn't have had more loving mom! To me, none of the options sound too great, and involve more testing, surgery, etc, which would take recovery, & then there is the issue of her arthritis even if she could recover well from this other issue......I guess if it was me, I'd ask the vet what they thought the chances were of her coming through everything & being o.k. Ultimately, I think I would have to decide what we all never want to decide.....Sending along many hugs for both you & Cilek, and sending prayers of strength for you!

My Molly is 13 also, so far so good, except for the arthritis, & elevated ALT liver level......I always thought she & Cilek would be great friends if they lived close enough to play together! Maybe one day, they will romp together......
