that is terrible. Both the owner and the dog were set up to fail.

Many people are quite naive about dogs. Even those who've had dogs (they can be even worse as they think they do know what to expect). I think this is a big issue with no questions asked adoptions. At least warm people. but some are just too over run and staffed by people who may not know (or be in a position to ask any questions). They were told it was aggressive but....just that sentence isn't enough. Or maybe they were told more and assumed " a good home" would fix all that.

    Hoping the wife is ok

There was a sign on the door of one kennel that said "DO NOT WALK THIS DOG IT WILL BITE YOU" a medium sized white fluffy dog, not sure what breed or mix of breeds. Glad the wife is ok and this is over for them but most importantly I hope they realize their mistake so that they don't do it again.
and this is why I don't support no kill shelters. That dog isn't going to get adopted, is not going to get ANY rehab and will live the next while (hopefully not too long) in extreme stress. that is not a life. There ARE fates worse than death. I've had a few fosters that ended up being PTS.

(plus no kills either have to stop intake so that means dogs can't get in, or tranfers problem dogs to shelters who are not "no kill").

It gets worse. She didn't go to a doctor and they're starting a fund me page. And yes, they have health insurance. They're just trusting that the dog didn't have rabies.
