Would Someone Please Help My Mom

Hi, Katie here: I have the best Mom and Dad but Mom has a very bad problem. She cannot tell time, I mean meal time. I hop, nudge, bring her a stuffie, run to the pantry and she just does not get it. Dad feeds me early in the morning but Mom just does not seem to get it that early afternoon would be the right time to feed me again. She makes such good doggy meals so why should I have to wait so long??

    Please HELP!

Gabby here: I know exactly what you mean, Katie. My humans used to feed me 3 times a day and now it's only 2 times. I guess that I'm supposed to be satisfied with the treats that they give me when I've been good. Don't get me wrong, because those treats are delicious, but would it kill them to put some food in my dish? It's so hard trying to train humans...

Macy here: You're not alone, Katie. I sit in front of my food cupboard and stare at it but my mom can't take a hint. I even try and look pathetic but she is clearly not trainable.

Gabe here: I know what you are talking about. My Dad is so mean he makes me do tricks even for a small, little crumb. I have to work for everything I get. He said it is the Nothing In Life Is Free method of training, but all I want is a little kibble in my dish and I eat it nice and slow like he tells me.

When it gets close to supper time, I start dancing around in the kitchen and looking at the clock like I can tell time(which I really can). If he ignores me, I yipe and bark and he just says "What do you want"? Come on, you know, quit teasing me, I am HUNGRAY!!!! Then I will sit in the middle of the kitchen floor and give him the stink eye and maybe drool a little to get him going. That seems to work really good, maybe you should try it on your Mom.

    Merry Christmas Katie, WOOF WOOF

Thor sympathizes! Oh Katie I know how you feel! About an hour before dinner time I start Dancing around all of the hard surface floors in the house. It makes a lot of noise. Mom calls it my “tippy tapping”. Make sure you start at least an hour early because it takes them that long to notice. If they ignore you, nudge them a few times with your nose.

Gabe here: Katie, remember that training your humans is difficult sometimes and they may needs some treats as a reward when they perform correctly.

Oban says his Mum will be no help. Sometimes she feeds him on time, sometimes late and some really wonderful times, early. Of course the early one day times make even the on time meals seem late.
