Jeff, that's a good and detailed review. Thanks for pointing out the potential frame weaknesses, with our 65 lb, 55 lb, and 35 lb. seniors that's *probably* not a problem.

Lobo, that's a big dog! Good to know about the hardware. Our great hometown hardware store can probably sell us the acorn washers. Thank you very much for the generous offer, we will certainly keep that in mind.

Maximus weighs 110lbs which is on the smaller side for Cane Cosro's. Their typical size is 130 lbs and a touch taller. We love him just the same and have been looking to acquire another Corso. Of course we will keep a few of our cuddly Labs around to complete the pack. Maybe a chocolate?

Kuranda has a program where they offer the discounted rate to customers that are referred by their breeders that sign up for the program. I first heard of Kuranda through our breeder but waited to buy them. Whenever you need just send me a PM and I will send back the name of our breeder. Then you call Kuranda to get the code to enter into the space provided on their online form. I did not keep the code but it would be good to talk to their extremely friendly and helpful customer service anyway. Warning: Shipping to ultra slooooow so don't be in a hurry. As for the hardware, if you order them you will see what I mean. Take the bolt(s) down to the hardware store to get the thread size and pitch matched to the acorn nuts exactly. You'll want stainless steel nylon acorn nuts so they stay in place and do not rust.

Post some pictures when you get the beds.

Thanks for this post and all the responses. We have been thinking about getting one for the boys...the summer is so hot and Charlie likes to sit outside. He is crazy, and likes to sit on the deck in the hot sun on the hot deck. I want to encourage him to lay on something off the hot deck. I think Burton might like it indoors, he doesn't lounge much outside. I guess maybe if he had a Kuranda he might.

    You have been very helpful!
