    Sorry Oban. Cancelled Walk

It was beautiful out. OH cleaned off the car, I trimmed Oban's toenails, got some treats ready, put his collar on for our intended drive to walk where we would not have to worry about snowmobiles. But in the blink of an eye a big snow squall rolled in and we cancelled our outing. In a couple of minutes the car had more snow on it than OH had cleaned off in the first place. Roads are snowy and visibility, the biggest factor, is pretty poor. No sense taking the risk. Sorry Oban, got your toenails trimmed for nothing. Poor little boy, he looked so disappointed.

Don’t you just love how this time of year your plans can change in the blink of an eye? Down here it’s sunny, but cold (at least for us).

I was just wondering how your ankle is doing. I get the impression you're a pretty tough lady so a walk outside in the snow when you're ?barely 6 weeks out from your break doesn't surprise me! Your ankle feels ___fill in the blank____ now?

LOL, I was going to wait in the car while OH walked Oban. We did that on Saturday and I found I could walk around the unploughed parking lot because while there was about four inches of snow it was all flat and level underneath. But I tried in our own backyard and where the snow is only packed down and walked it it's too uneven. My foot lands and it sinks, or it doesn't and I can't tell which way it might twist.

I had my first physio on Friday. Sat. and Sun. the ankle was pretty sore, almost like when I first broke it. Much better today. I'm still in the air cast till Jan. 9 when I go for another Xray and see the Doc. again. Have not used the crutches for a good two weeks though, that's a relief.

Guess it was better than the snow coming in while you were out walking.

Good to hear you are progressing well with your healing. Please keep us updated.

So glad we forfeited that walk after seeing the news on TV tonight and all the accidents yesterday. And today, though today was not nearly as bad. We did get out today but the roads there were all pretty snowy, very few bare sections. However we could see where we were going. We are both pleased with the new tires on the truck and the jeep but they don't help at all with poor visibility and nitwit drivers.
