Lettuce is about the only veggie which has been universally spit out by all my dogs. Other than that, it's all fair game. Had to fence off the garden to keep Mardi from eating all the green beans. One year I grew pole beans and she would stretch up as far as she could to get them. Never did get a good batch of beans that year.

Oh yeah. Mine eat lots of veg. The only one anyone rejects is Zo with raw zucchini. She'll eat one or two but mostly picks them out. They also snarf down their supplements without issue which is just off base as far as anyone has told me.

Canned pumpkin is big with my dogs. That's a lick the bowl clean kind of thing.

This is such a good thing to explore as dog people. Dogs need this kind of nutrition and if they want or need it, definitely see what they'll eat.

Cats do too. If I don't give my indoor only cats catgrass, they'll eat houseplants. We threw out the one houseplant that made Lucy sick. Joey, who goes in and out, really appreciates the cat grass in winter. I don't know if it's nutrition or fibre or what. Most of my cats have been inside/outside and they all ate grass outside.

Our crew also seem to like to scour the ground below the bird feeders, just in case there are some yummy seeds left over.

Yep, bananas. I can never have an entire banana for myself, I have to share with Thor. Bite for me, break off a piece for him, bite for me, piece for him, etc. He'll also take the peel and daintily nibble away at the interior to get all that banana-y goodness out. Won't touch the outside of the peel but he'll clean the inside out completely.

And apples. I'll eat around the core and then let Thor nibble whatever I didn't get until there is practically nothing left but the seeds (he doesn't get the seeds).
