    Snuffle Mat

I bought the fleece to make a suffle mat well over a year ago - for penny during her recovery.
Well over the holidays i got my act together and finally made two (one for rock, another for a friend). it is easy though somewhat time intensive. i got the cheapest fleece i could find

Rocky seems to be enjoying it.

Nice! I made square ones, I'm guessing half the size of yours. I think yours are a better size but I don't feel like making another! Tying those things made my hands sore. I'm glad Rocky is enjoying snuffling around on it!

This looks great. I would be interested in knowing how to make one. Elle is going to be laid up for quite some time. The surgeon said it was alright for her to have puzzle toys in her create. This might be one she could manage. She is already showing signs of boredom and it has only been a week.

I use mine when I want to shower alone. Have you seen the snuffle balls? Those are pretty cool, too.

These are the instructions I used. I think I cut 10" x 3" strips but wish I had made them slightly longer and skinnier.

The one I ordered is one of the dogs' new items that's supposed to arrive today. I'm pretty sure Dan will take to it (he loves checking out people's pockets for potential treats) but there's a good chance Sunnie will be afraid of it (at least initially).

Thanks, for the idea. Might be the thing to do when it’s so cold out and no one wants to walk far, or play very long.

Thank you for the site. I am printing out the instructions right now. Will pick up the fleece asap as I already have a suitable mat. Mine will have to be small versions as it needs to be in the crate with her. I will make one for M and Wallace as well.

Penny had many nina ottoson games and such as well during her recovery. Rocky uses some of those now.
