      Doggy platform bed?

I have no idea what else to call it.

I work from home and have a nice big window in my home office. Thor likes to watch the birds. I have his bed under the window, but the window is just high enough that he can't quite get the full view. I've seen dog beds that sit on kind of a platform and thought it might be worth getting one for this location. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?

Here's the space - you can see the window is just a *little* too high for him to get a really good view. I rearranged the office so he could have access to the window, but I need something to give him a little boost.

I'd just build a platform for him to sit on and leave his bed where it is.

What about a bench or ottoman? Th benches I'm thinking of are those longer narrow ones with cushion tops.

Danny says to get Thor a nice recliner...it'll give him a soft chair to curl up in and a nice padded arm to sit on to watch the world go by. (no...Danny doesn't get a finders fee from La-Z-Boy) (nice birthday gift...hint, hint...)

I was going to suggest an ottoman too. But I think a recliner is even better as the arms and back make it cozier. Maybe just an arm chair?

We have a kuranda bed and I'm not sure it's high enough by itself to do what you want it to do, if you want him to be able to recline and still see out. Plus, the material would sag a bit in the middle if you just want him to stand on it. You might be able to make a little platform out of some plywood with some little legs, like Barry's platform that he FORCES Brooks to sit on while he DROOLS over Sophie eating her meals. Didn't you build it, Barry? I don't know how tall the legs are he put on that platform but you could make them as tall as you want, and then put his bed on top of the platform. It would be cheaper than an actual Kuranda bed and sturdier than the Kuranda wannabees.

I like the ottoman benches, especially the empty ones that you can store blankets and throw pillows inside of. Like these. The platform beds might be too short. Guess you'd have to do some measuring.

Heck with the recliner, spot looks big enough for a love seat.
