    Darn!

Have two couch covers and rotate them. Threw one in the washer and it wound up tight around the agitator that DH had to cut it off.

Time to buy another. What do you have?

We use thin cheap quilts to cover our couches. With Gingers bladder issues (the meds aren't working for whatever the spot on her bladder is) we have also put mattress pad covers on the sofas too. The quilts are a little heavier then sheets to collect the hair, accidents, drool and moisture from wet feet.

Thrift store quilts. And front load washer, no agitator.

Guess I did not make myself very clear. The washer survived, the cover did not. Do have a lot of large thick cotton blankets so will probably go with that. Darn covers are about $50 apiece.

Yes, I thought your washer survived. Some years ago mine died and we went front load. Twisted washing is no longer a problem. Stink is.
