    Westminster KC viewing & catalog

For those interested in the Lab judging tomorrow, they're in ring 8 at 9am ET. WKC/Fox have been doing a good job with their live streams from each ring.

The catalog for our breed is here: Retrievers (Labrador)

Fox Sports Go link for tomorrow's viewing: https://a.fsgo.com/uaDf/ai6XED8huK

This year's breed judge is a Chessie man and his other breed is Tollers, so he should be able to find a Lab that's fit for function amongst the entries, for all you armchair judges at home who tend to be in the "all show Labs are fat" camp. :-) Some beautiful Labs will be there this year, so the judge should have his work cut out for him.

Perhaps many of you have breeders showing or relatives of your dogs exhibiting tomorrow.

I was able to watch a bit of the Masters Obedience today, and the coverage was really good. I look forward to seeing the Lab judging tomorrow.

My favorite was watching the toy dogs compete in agility over the weekend. Too cute for words. Heart, the Labrador, and her handler look to have won the masters obedience. There was a post congratulating them from the parent club.

Tickle's handler is supposed to be on Dog #54, so that should be interesting! We'll be watching the Griff ring too since our future Griff pup's momma is in the ring too.

Just finished watching the Lab judging. Overall I felt there were some nice dogs, and the BOB and Best of Winners were on the list of dogs I liked as the judging was going on. There were some nice moderate dogs (IMHO) that the judge didn't give much love. There were a few dogs that were clearly carrying too much weight, and it was very evident when they were moving.

Memo wins! He is also the same dog that won the big Royal Canin show in December in FL.

    "Memo wins!"

Thank you for telling us who he is when he's not in the ring!

I'm not willing to judge their condition via video. So many factors at play at any given day when you show, and some dogs don't move as well, period. The dogs that have been put up the last few years at WKC have been very fit, and the online fat police have still complained about them. I think the judge made a great choice to send a beautiful breed representative onto groups later on. Wishing them luck!
