I echo your words on it being too icy. GRRRRRR! Makes walking the dogs so tricky; we lawn walk, road walk, everything to avoid the ice. I wear my spikes, but the girls are bare-pawed.

It's 63 in Cleveland this morning! Wow. Asher was waiting for me to put on my coat and when I walked to the door he stopped..like "Heck no mom, I'm not going out there in the dark without you." lol When I open the door and went out, he followed. I feels so nice out! Rained all day yesterday so of course my lawn is a very large mess of mud.

we're in the thick of it now. The water puddles on top of ice mean even trying to use salt/sand to give traction is pointless. I have a safe walk I can do with Rocky (once out of my driveway which is a big hazzard - and I tried to work on it this weekend). but pee outings are a lost cause. the side street we normally do that on is a huge puddle + ice as the water just keep accumulating. I may see what I can do tonight.

Same here as it is for Tanya. We got a wee fluff of snow on the ice, which stuck and made walking better again. But now it's rained all night, heavy right now, and water on top of ice is worse than just ice.

Well, we did walk today. There is enough snow on the trails that the surface, with the warmer temperatures , is soft, not hard and treacherous. Once we got past our own driveway all was fine. Except it was SO foggy. That's all our snow evaporating, we can actually see it happening.

And the ground around houses is thawing and letting in the melt water. We have a bit coming in but the neighbour down the road has a couple of centimetres (~ an inch) in her basement.
