Just got an e-mail coupon for a cooking class in Cambridge. Tonight only. 30% off. They're calling it the Nor-easter coupon. These are the funniest coupons ever. I call them disaster storm coupons. Basically, if you can get around the downed trees and power lines and haven't been trapped in your home due to flooding, in short, if you can get to the building, you can take a heavily discounted cooking class. You would think they would just cancel the class.
Do they have to lay in food etc. specifically for the class? If so, they probably lose everything if no one can get there, or if they cancel....getting warm bodies to come in, even at a discount, would let them recoup something.
