We've been wanting to start fostering for awhile and finally decided to dive in. Meet Matador:
Face-timing with my sister (she was very excited about him):
He's a lab mix, approximately 10 weeks old. He's a parvo survivor and will become available for adoption once he is no longer on "distemper watch" (2 week watch period). He is SO CUTE, and such a handful. Bubba is not a huge fan of getting his face bitten repeatedly, so he's not a big fan of him haha. Right now he's sleeping in his crate and we're getting back to house training basics!

awww....he's so adorable.
He's a lucky little guy to survive parvo...
All the best with him!
Heh heh....he looks so innocent.
Thank you for taking care of this baby...he really is adorable...deserves a chance to thrive.
What a cutie! Look at those big eyes. I bet they are going to earn him lots of love and treats from you!
That's great! He's a cutie!
Some how I see a "foster fail" in your future!!!
What a cutie-pie. Where does his name, Matador, come from? A local rescue gives litters they take in theme names so some of them are pretty unique.

Thanks everyone! Getting back into the puppy groove has definitely been interesting, man those teeth are so sharp! He's also actually 12 weeks, not 10. I was really surprised by how little info they gave me when they handed him over, but I've had more trickling in via email since then.
Snowshoe - They do theme names for litters here too, but I think that Matador came in alone so he just got a random name! The other puppies available at the time had theme names of ethnic food (ex. eggroll, churro) and also US winter olympians!
The entire city of Austin has been no kill (which actually means over 90%, not no kill at all, though in 2017 it was 97%) since 2010, which is incredible but it means that the shelters are sooooo busy and fostering is huge here. I'm happy to be able to help out!
Hopefully I don't become a foster failure because my lease doesn't allow it
What a cutie and very lucky to survive Parvo. Thanks for taking care of this baby
