    Cookie goes for a snip...

So, I noticed some kind of tumor on his testes (yep, I had decided to leave him intact) and the vet felt the best solution is to neuter him (we won't know what it is until he is neutered).

If everything comes back okay with his pre-op blood panel, I'm taking him in on Friday morning before work.

Please spare some good thoughts, I am a bit stressed even though it's a routine procedure, since he is almost 12.

Good luck Cookie, soon you’ll be checking back there thinking, “I know there used to be something there.”

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

Oh dear. Will the Vet take the whole scrotal sac right off? We were facing neuter when Oban was 8 years old due to prostate issues. My Vet said it's common to leave the sac on young dogs these days but in older ones it probably will not shrivel up and will no longer retract in cold etc. so could be a problem. Oban's prostate issues resolved and we did not neuter. Oban says, sorry Cookie.

All good thoughts headed your way for the surgery and the diagnosis.

All he's been through and now something like this....how humiliating, huh, Cookie?

Sending lots of good thought and well wishes from both Me and Hemi.

Cookie, do you get to join Hemi and Thor in the Undies Club. I think your mom can find you a nice set of undies to wear around the house.
