Oh thank you GOD!!!
It's a weird autoimmune condition that weirdly only affects his left nostril. Only LeeRoy could be goofy enough present such an unlikely disease in such a crazy way. If he were a normal dog, we'd be taking him in for his final vet visit.
Treatment is symptomatic. His bleeding has almost completely stopped with the antibiotics.
Oh, thank you God.
I'm in tears. Happy ones, though.

That's great news! You don't need another worry on your plate. Take care of yourself.

I'm just seeing this now--not coming on here as much since losing Molly......I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss, but I'm so happy you got great news about LeeRoy! That is a huge relief! Now take good care of yourself, & beat this thing! Please keep us posted on how you are doing!
I work at a cancer foundation where we help our local cancer patients by giving out gas cards, & try to help in whatever other practical ways that we can. We have a support group also--you might look for something similar in your area if you feel a need for that kind of help & support. Most people seem to do pretty well with their treatments these days. I will keep you in my thoughts & prayers!

Thank you for your good thoughts. The big medical care facility here does a very fine job in terms of comprehensive cancer care. The community also contributes in many ways.
I'm finding a lot of being a cancer patient is keeping all the appointments straight! Tomorrow I go in for my Chemo 101 class... preparation, as it were. Monday is my first dose. But also tomorrow I'm to meet with the behavioral health person. Not too sure what we'll be talking about at this time, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if it isn't exactly the sort of support situation you bring up.
LeeRoy is doing fine. Still sorta dribbling from his nose, but it's more serosanguinous than actually bloody. Nine more days to go on the Clavamox. If it doesn't clear it up altogether, or if it comes back, they'll do something like nose drops, or even perhaps some steroids. But the bottom line is, it's a manageable situation.
Thank the Good Lord.

Wonderful news it is NOT cancer!! Sounds like you have your situation under control and are ready to go thru your ordeal with a determined mind.
Sending more MOJO and prayers for both of you.
