    Tumor vrs. fungal infection

Bill died in December. This May, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Now Bill's goofy chocolate lab that he loved so much may have a tumor in his nose/sinus. He was bleeding significantly from one side of his nose. They did an x-ray that didn't give them any answers. Tomorrow they'll do a CT and rhinoscopy. Might be fungal infection. I'm praying that will be the case.

Meanwhile, I am scheduled to see the oncologist in the morning to learn what my chemo schedule is going to be. If the dog has cancer, there isn't any cure or palliation for it. Apparently it grows locally and erodes through bone.

    Pretty torn up.

Poor dog, I hope it's just fungus. There is news lately of testing to see whether some people need chemo after breast cancer. Is that a possibility? Though my sister, head nurse in a breast care clinic, says chemo is much more tolerable than it used to be. Good thoughts still heading your way and I know you won't mind sharing them with a goofy Lab.

I'm sorry...for all of it. You haven't had time to adequately deal with one thing before the next one hit. No wonder you're reeling from the impact.

Sending you all good thoughts for yourself and for your chocolate boy...for strength and health. Be good to yourself.
