I Need a New Dog for This Name :)

Anybody remember an old thread discussing names we had stored up for potential future dogs? I had several and I've found a new one. I discovered that Beira is the Scottish goddess of winter. I am a winter person. I LOVE snow, skiing, cold, even shovelling is my favourite chore. So of course I need a pretty well all white Siberian Husky girl to go with this name. Or Samoyed. Or maybe, since this a Scottish goddess and I am of Scotch/Irish descent, a Westie would do too, though they are not much associated with winter. I am not sure how to pronounce it, rhymes with beer? Or bear?

Want to do this theme again? What names do you have in the back of your mind that you need a certain dog for?

You could also get a Newfoundland, a Scottish fold cat or a Scottish terrier I think it is bear-a not sure though.

Were I to get a little dog, one that's so ugly it's cute, say, like an affenpincher, I'd want to name it Frumious Bandersnatch and call it Bander. You know, from Jabberwocky, Twas brillig and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe...

Two names that have flitted into my thoughts in the past are Gypsy for a black female long-haired pup and Bonne Idee (call name Bonnie)… one of those e's needs an accent mark.

Not gonna happen since my two are destined to be my last.

I really like Beira. Actually, wouldn't that make a good nickname for you, too?
