    Say Hello to Mr. Orange!

Finally, the day has come. The breeder had one puppy picked out for me and it was one of the two I was looking at! Out of the six boys, two stood out as higher level performance dogs, Mr. Orange and Mr. Red. Mr. Red is always on and I needed a dog with a good balance of chill (since I work full time) and go when it's time to go. She says Mr. Orange has great conformation based on his eval. Not sure if he's competitive or not; we mostly focused on his evaluation. His evaluation was really great! He's also been swimming on his own in pools and ponds since he was six weeks. She said that the first time he saw a pool he walked right onto the steps and did three laps. She calls him Mr. Fish.

Here are some photos. I cannot distinguish between Mr. Red and Mr. Orange (as you can tell in the top photo). They are two peas in a pod, too, and even the breeder got them messed up in person. These two photos are the only ones where I could tell for sure which one was which. Photo two is all the boys. I'll get more when he's all mine early next week and do his official introduction!

Hmmmm, the Loyal Orange Order Institution gives lots of possible names. Try to sleep, you don't want to put that puppy in danger by driving tired.

How adorable is he? It seems funny that his breeder's choices of collar colors seem to match those 2 guys' personalities. Our Chase was a Mr Lavender and once past the puppy/teen stage, there was not much in the way of performance in that boy, just a big happy lug. Going right into the water and doing a few laps, he's certainly an intrepid little guy. Have you thought of names for him or did you hold off until you knew whether it was a boy or a girl and laid eyes on The One?

Congrats on your new family member! I have no doubt you'll be a winning team in whatever you do. Yellow puppies are always the cutest IMO.
