I'm so sorry that Mac got attacked, and I'm glad he's healing well. I hope he doesn't have any long-term emotional scars. I used to have a lab who got attacked at a vet's office waiting room by a doberman, who wasn't on leash. I could see it coming (body language), and I insistently asked the dog's owner to please get his dog and take him away from mine. The man said he was fine, then the dog attacked as I was trying to move Chipper away. Thankfully, there were no physical wounds, but poor Chipper didn't like big, dark colored dogs the rest of his life. I think you are right on point to file charges.

I’m glad Mac’s still as confident as ever and that he’ll be okay. Having a dog run at your own is the nightmare scenario. Your followup sounds thorough & effective. For the sake of other dogs, I hope you succeed. I think you will.

I am also glad to see that Mac is recovering from the attack and that he is able to go back to the area without incident. Continued healing thoughts for your little guy.
