    This bothers me.

I do everything for my dogs basically it's thier world and I just live in it. They are beyond spoiled I feel horrible when I can't give them all the attention and when I have to work I feel guilty. My husband and I work opposite shifts so that for the most part there is always someone home for a majority of the day. That was my rule especially when we decided to add a Labrador to our house.

My brother texts me last week and had to put her German Shepherd down from old age. He's one that would call me when something was wrong with the dog instead of taking the dog to the vet. He contacted me if I knew of any Shepherd breeders I didn't know of any off the top of my head so I was doing reasearch for him contacting some of my friends that breed and show if they knew any ECT ECT. He then texts me the next day that he got a new puppy from a local "breeder" and I use the term lightly. Of course the pup is cute arnt all puppies cute. Now he's messaging me about every little thing. He's hardly ever home and he told me that the puppy better be used to the crate by tomorrow bc he has to go to work and she will have to hold it for 8 hours. She's only 10 weeks old. When I told him that she can't hold it that long she's like well what do you suggest I do, I have to work. Ugh I can't. I feel really bad for this dog. I don't doubt he loves his dogs but I literally ajust my life for mine. I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels this way.

Sorry just my little rant for today.

It's so frustrating when you try to help out, you think they want help because they say they want help, and yet they turn around and do something boneheaded. It will be so much longer before she's house trained if she's left alone all day. And he'll be pissed to get home from work and find her sitting in pee or poop day after day. Maybe you can help him brainstorm who can come by for a potty break while he's out (without committing yourself to that task) but don't be too surprised when it doesn't happen and he gets frustrated. Hopefully he won't take it out on the pup.

He lives too far away for me to do it otherwise I would just so the poor puppy wouldn't be stuck in a crate all day. I did suggest a neighbor or friend or at least go home and lunch and let her out and play with her. I can't do anything more and it's frustrating bc I just feel so bad for the dog. He would never hurt her and o did tell him don't be surprised if he comes home to find pee or poop bc she's way to young to go that long.

He could puppy proof a kitchen or similar area that has tile or vinyl and babygate the puppy in. He can use a litterbox system or pads. Yes, she might chew the cupboards or something, but if he leaves the puppy with food toys, regular toys, etc. there's a good chance it will not occur. Cords, pillows, curtains, chairs, etc. will need to be removed. Nothing on counters. Stuff like that. He could also use an ex-pen around the perimeter of the room. There are other options besides crates, which European countries don't even use.
