    Such creatures of habit....

I don't like letting Georgia out at night (past 9:00). Our backyard is a fair size and it's dark, although I have motion lights set up. She will stay out forever and it hard to get back in the house. Plus there are cats milling about etc.

A couple of times I took her out on the leash. We walk up to the corner and back. Not far.

I was watching the ballgame downstairs last night and lost track of time. My wife texts me from upstairs and says somebody is sitting by the door waiting for you to take her for the nightly walk.

It doesn't take long for them to get into the habit of something does it?
    Thanks Everyone!!

That's one prompted by certain urges, I'm sure. (one being the urge to get you some exercise )

Oh yeah, Lark has her routines and she isn't about to let them go. I started walking her at night again recently because of some limping and I didn't want to let her loose in the back yard to find something to chase. Now by 9 pm she's giving me signals that it's time to go because don't I know she's got to go to bed? It's cute how some of her habits are being picked up by Henry after just 4 days. She sits in a corner of the kitchen cabinets while I'm getting her meals ready. Henry has started either sitting beside her or on the other side of me when the bowls are being filled rather than wandering around in the kitchen. They really learn fast!

I hear you. Between chemo and vertigo, Nikki won't go out on her own into our six foot fenced yard anymore because we walked her on the driveway for every pee for months.
