Although Lido was a pain pottying during the day (we were going out every 15-20 minutes at first), he was a dream at night, so I guess I was lucky. He could go 6 hours crated at night starting at 8 weeks. We crated him next to our bed, and I'm a light sleeper, so when I heard him rustling around, I'd fly up out of bed and hustle him outside on leash. He'd go, I praised him, then I put him right back to bed - no other conversation, no playing.

I've woken Henry up the past 2 nights for nighttime potty excursions. He's kind of looked at me as if to say, "Mom, do you know what time it is?" His poops had gotten a little loose so now that they're back in good form he hasn't had an accident, day or night, in 2 days. Whew! It's still rainy and muddy though, and he still likes to splash the water out of his water bowl, so there's hope yet for a new washing machine!
