Sending lots of good thoughts towards cookie. It could be simply over exhaustion and then tired and bad dream and waking up in a strange place. Even though he has been there plenty, its not home. When we go to my sisters house, even though Hemi has been going there since he was a puppy, he will still pace, or wake up to every little noise, he doesn't sleep well.

I thought he may have eaten something too. But last time we were out was 9 pm and this happened at 12 am, which is a long time. Plus he didn’t vomit or have diarrhea which are common symptoms of poisoning.

Jeff, I agree. He isn’t comfortable at times, and I can’t exclude that is what happened.

Barb, unfortunately we don’t have holistic practices here, let alone vets. I thought about messaging my vet but I’ll probably just wait to go back to Belgrade and tell him in person the whole story. I left the sedatives back home too, didn’t think I’d need them.

Thankfully, there were no more episodes of this for now.

I'm wondering if she smelled something like propane or natural gas like a stove or grill was left on. There's been instances of dogs alerting to high levels of C02 carbon dioxide all would also explain strange behavior. High pitched sounds could be another source of this behavior and with these new video games graphics and sound effects who knows, I know that my girls don't like the smoke detector chirping when the battery is low. In fact Cheanna would not walk past a open garage if there was a smoke detector chirping. Just Chookie is back to normal.

Interesting. Could be. It was a cold night and the neighbors may have turned the heating on, petroleum is used for heating here.
