Movie recommendation PICK OF THE LITTER

This documentary follows five Labrador puppies from birth as they are trained to become guides for the blind. I really enjoyed it, although I cried multiple times.

    I really enjoyed it too!
There were a couple of things that bothered me (slightly) about the program, training, and the placements of the puppies. For example, the young man was completely unprepared to raise a guide dog puppy, and the organization that I have donated/sold puppies to, would have never placed a valuable resource in a home that unprepared, and let the situation continue, beyond salvation like they did. Raising a Guide Dog puppy is serious business, weekly meetings and early intervention etc...

But on the whole I loved that Pick of the Litter is raising (see what I did there? LOL) awareness of guide dogs, and recommend the movie!

i cried. aww'd about 100 times :P i loved it. i agree a few of the raisers seemed un prepared.

It really really really amped up my puppy fever :P not good haha

My dad's friend has a dog from that group/facility and he's met with the trainers when they flew down and helped with training some of his recent dogs (he had a string of bad luck after 2-3 solid dogs who spent their career with him he had a few in a row not work out for various reasons so my dad had lots of opportunities to learn and work with his friend and the trainer). His current dog has been with him a year or more now and it's going super well.

Thank you, I will watch it and have a box of tissues handy. I just watched "A Dog's Way Home", that made me shed a few tears.

Loved it. Documentaries about guide dogs are always so emotional.
