thank you guys so much! I know the mom is Bunny, not sure of the dad though. I will find out next time I talk with them. im not sure exactly when she was born, I missed the very first email LOL I only knew because the cashed the deposit..... They are 5 hours away, so if I visit it will only be once. I plan on getting like Audiobooks, and listen while im at work... reading is not my thing. I did Sirius puppy school with Abbs, and really got so much out of it. im scared to death really, but I know she will fill my void. its so fun planning out our adventures how do you post pictures on the site? TIA for all of the questions I will have..

This will give you the basic idea, but photobucket no longer allows free photo sharing. I use smug mug, which is a pay service, but there are free sites out there too. I sure other will chime in with what they use.

Since I know who your breeder is I'll tell you how it worked for us, as far as picking a puppy. They'll send an email a week or so before pickup day with individual pictures and descriptions of their personalities. You can always call and chat about each one to make sure you are matched to the best one for your lifestyle, if you haven't already. For example, Barley's description was "Baby Boy A: Great 'alpha' temperament... first to race to meet me and pet/held. Perhaps the brightest of the boys. This guy ought to be doing your taxes in the first year!" We called and talked about how his personality might mesh with Thor and ended up going with him.

Well the time has finally come

Oh yay! Your baby will be Barley’s half sibling! How lucky - he is such a joy.

As far as getting your puppy, unless you live with them, you don't really know their personalities, so you really have to depend on the breeder. I'd just tell her what you want, have her offer up her top 2-3 pick for you, and then pick the cutest one in that moment on that day. Or, let her pick for you based on your wants and needs and her knowledge of the lines. If it's a good breeder, the puppies in the litter should all be fairly consistent.

Ian Dunbar's before and after you get your puppy are good. I always liked Puppies for Dummies for the basic stuff. Puppy K and/or Star Puppy are both good classes.

    Congrats!
