Nothing much. I do take joint supplements that seems to help a bit (or at least it hurts more when I stop taking them). For a while I was using orthotics that would keep it from bending too much but find now I do better without those (won’t bend far anymore anyway). Surgery to remove the excess bone growth is an option, but involves more downtime that I want to deal with as it’s on my right foot which I need for driving. NSAIDS as needed, but I find that lately it really doesn’t hurt that much as it’s progressed to the point where there isn’t much movement in the joint. It’s a common condition (Hallux Rigidus) and there isn’t too much in the way of effective treatment.

Haven't heard anything back from the second radiologist yet. In the meantime here's a video that shows his limp, the distorted elbow and the zeal to ignore any pain. Actually, we wonder how much limp is due to simply not being able to move the joint fully. This was yesterday and I wouldn't let him carry the basket I was collecting mushrooms in because he kept running around with it and spilling them out. So he carried this big stick around instead. https://www.facebook.com/10000467143...5643937601310/
