It’s fascinating (to me) how much changes every day with little puppies.
On Monday, she was scared of the flooring and had to be carried everywhere that wasn’t carpeted. On Tuesday, she’d conquered that fear and was running everywhere. By the end of the day, she was hopping up the steps from the yard to the deck. And on Wednesday, she even walked down the steps! (She was motivated by seeing breakfast down on the ground, but I think it was scary because it wasn't repeated.)
Yesterday, I discovered that putting the radio on in the bedroom when she had naptime seemed to quiet down a lot faster. We had 3 successful crate naptimes in which she stopped barking after 10 or so minutes.
During her free play time with me, she’s been amazingly chill. She liked sitting on a rug near the kitchen and watching me put away dishes and do general cleanup.
She also has been walking on her own to the back door. I have no idea if she’s made a connection, but I took her out every time she did that and she pee’d right away. Big party time for Stormy!
Post-dinner, she spent the evening curled up next to me or DH, and often on one of us, sleeping. She’s so sweet. Not so sweet- she’s learned that if she bites human hands, we shove a toy in her mouth. She’s now going after clothing and loves pulling hard on the pants leg/shirt cuff while I try to extricate it from her needle teeth. Not an easy feat.
Last but FAR from least, at bedtime, I put her in the crate and she only barked for 15 minutes before going to sleep. She woke up at 12:45. I took her outside, re-crated her, and after 15 minutes of barking *she went to sleep in the crate and slept until almost 6 am.* Big party time for Stormy’s parents!

You are having SO much FUN with your Stormy-and she is learning very fast. I would love to be a fly on the wall and watch eveything that you do with her. Please take MANY pictures for as you know, she is growing and changing very quickly. These times will be distance memories is a short time.

I think she's coming along nicely!
You should find something to take her pic with every week as she's growing like I did with Brooks and the tractor! I know I'd love to see it!!!!!!

They are such little sponges at this age! I'm loving your reports, having gone through it all too recently.
And one more suggestion: scoop her up for cuddles as much as you can before she gets too big! I would constantly pick up Barley and carry him around when he was small enough (PUPPY SNUGGLES!) Now he's too big to pick up for 'forced' cuddles but he does it on his own!

I can't wait to read tomorrow. Its amazing how fast they learn and they do grow out of puppy fast. Enjoy every moment and then you can loo back on these posts and smile.
Awesome, I so remember the puppy teeth and clothing. I think I ended up replacing most of my wardrobe. Dress pants and dress shirts were the most devastated.
On a side note. Because you got her this time of year I might suggest while cuddling and so on you play ambient thunder storms. Have play times and fun times listening to thunder and storms on the stereo. She is likely not to hear her first real thunderstorms until she is through most of this puppy phase and learning phase. This way she doesn't develop a fear towards thunderstorms. I also called a local gun range and took Hemi to a gun range to meet all the nice people. He got petted and loved up same time hearing explosions and loud banging. Just thinking removing sensitivity to fireworks.
Stormy is bringing back great memories. I had totally forgotten that Macy tore holes in several shirts and attacked my socks on a daily basis.
So many changes and so much fun.
Stormy is progressing so fast. Need bunches of new pictures please.
